ROKPA is an aid organisation supporting mainly children, youths and women in need through education, medical care and food. With its Head Office in Zurich, since almost 40 years, ROKPA has been operating mainly in the Tibetan areas of China and in Nepal but also in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Women and girls are particularly affected by poverty in those countries. This is one o the reasons why empowering women is an important goal for the former Swiss actress Lea Wyler, Co-Founder of ROKPA. Our Giving Women member, Caterina Meier-Pfister, in charge of Donor Relations at ROKPA INTERNATIONAL, will give us some insights into the organisation as will into selected projects aiming at improving the life of unprivileged women and girls and their families.
The lunch will start at 12h00 and the price is 45 CHF for Giving Women members and 50 CHF for Giving Women non members for 2 course-menu, including water, coffee & coffee specialities. Please feel free to share this invitation to women who may be interested!
