This October Oxfam celebrates its 75 years of existence: with its roots campaigning for food supplies to be sent to starving women and children in occupied Greece during the Second World War, today Oxfam is still at the forefront of fighting poverty, working in almost 90 countries. Empowering women is vital to ending poverty. This is why Oxfam puts women’s rights at the heart of its work.

Our Giving Women member, Gisella Reina, responsible of Oxfam in Switzerland, will take you through some highlights of Oxfam work and will present projects working with women, in particular.

Gisella has an international development background and over 20 years in philanthropy covering various areas: human rights, ethics, humanitarian and emergency aid, education and training, gender and development. She is also President of the NGO Huridocs, a human right organisation.

The lunch will start at 12h30 and the price is 45 CHF for 2 course-menu, including water, coffee & coffee specialities. The lunch is for Giving Women members and non members. Please feel free to share this invitation to women who may be interested!

We are looking forward to welcoming you!
