Are you looking for a job that reflects your values?
Do you want to contribute to social and environmental justice?
Are you driven by a desire to drive positive change everyday?

Our three brilliant speakers, Antonella Notari, Alia Poonawala and Riswana Soundardjee will share their stories of how they successfully transitioned from the private sector to the social benefit sector, from field to home, from large institution to local foundation, etc. They will bring to light the challenges, opportunities and strategies they employed to build a meaningful professional life.

About the speakers:
Antonella Notari, founding member of Giving Women, spent over 18 years with the International Committee of the Red Cross as a field-based Delegate in different armed conflicts, after which she entered the commercial microfinance sector as Director of Corporate Communication at BlueOrchard and then head of The Womanity Foundation, a private philanthropic endeavor that mobilises corporate resources for girls and women’s empowerment around the world.

Alia Poonawala joined the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition in March 2013 as part of the Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition team, bringing more than 10 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in global brand management, advertising development and sales both at Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble.

Riswana Soundardjee, a Giving Women excom member, worked as an emergency nurse for 3 years in Montreal, Canada, before taking up several key roles at the Aga Khan Development Network in Monitoring and Evaluation, in Pakistan, Madagascar and Geneva. Now at Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunisation (GAVI), she interacts with various stakeholders in public and private sectors.

Hosted by Giving Women in partnership with the Impact Hub.
The presentations will be in English.
