The documentary film tells the story of three adolescent girls discovering their identity and place in the world. Taking place in three countries, the documentary film provides a platform for three adolescent girls – Roxana,15 from Colombia, Joy, 20 from Uganda, and Florencia(Encya),16 from East Timor – to openly share their concerns and thoughts about being an adolescent girl in a world that systematically tries to undermine them, simply because of their gender. Through the documentary film, these protagonists share their reflections and ideas on sexuality and the personal challenges they face in their everyday life, thus, the film allows them to freely express themselves without fear.
The screening of the documentary will be followed by a discussion with Suba Umathevan, National Director at Plan International, Switzerland.
