This panel will shine a light on how women are most affected by climate change, yet they are so often left out of the conversation and programme design. Only by addressing the needs of the vulnerable communities will we be able to move the dial on climate crisis. This panel will give insights into the how to best support and include women from the most affected communities at the policy decision making and governance levels.

The purpose of the conference is to amplify the voices of the women from the most underserved communities who are most affected by the climate crisis. The first panel will set the scene and identify the areas these women are affected in their daily lives and to show their resilience and ways that have been found to mitigate and adapt to the crisis, which affects their livelihoods, food security, and access to water and energy.

How have they enabled local agency and leadership to thrive? How have these initiative created livelihoods opportunities from land use and protection and regeneration of the environment. Key issues are food security, livelihoods, access to water, land use and protection, regeneration of the environment, access to funding and forced migration.
